    Hmm, this is interesting! Average hair is porous, and it has an ability to absorb moisture. Using it to collect oil spill might work, as the pictures suggest, and, hair is biodegradable, unlike synthetic materials. But hair can stay in the environment for a long time before it decomposes, so, I think, it has to be collected after the job has been done.
    Not a bad idea, though!
